I usually pick a couple of challenges at Scrapbook.com to do each month. Some winners are picked at random, some are by vote, so everyone can enter to suit their preference. I chose to do the challenge to scrapbook your pet or an animal as I have two cats, as well as photos of pets that are no longer with us. I found a picture of our youngest cat, Herbie, that shows his fluffy tail off. I took his fur as inspiration for the colours for my layout.

I have challenged myself to use more flair & wood veneer on my pages, as I have built up quite a stash, but often forget to add them when I’m embellishing. To help with this, I have placed all of my veneer & flair in dishes on my desk, so they are in sight and easily accessed.

When we got Herbie (we rescued him from a litter that belonged to a stray cat hanging around where my husband was working at the time) he just looked like a wee ginger, short haired kitten. Then as he started growing up, his tail just became incredibly fluffy. I love it, he’s so handsome. I found a sticker that read ‘if I could change your name…’ and it was in the perfect colour for this layout. I added the title ‘Fluffybum’ as that is what I call him all the time.

I like to mix my cat scrapbook supplies with everyday supplies to keep the page being to themed. I have used a few paw print papers & washi, and then added chevrons, polka dots, scallops, and some gold touches.???????????????????????????????
